Thank you to my new Japanese mates who made our short but very sweet tour there with Dragonfly Collector, so memorable. I loved every minute of it. I’ll be back.

Very special mention to our superb Tour Promoter Osam Watanabe from Powerpop Academy.

I’m thrilled to reveal that I’ll be visiting and playing a solo show in Japan for the first time on the 18th Jan, 2020! Excited to play in Tokyo at Shimokitaza Half along with my great friend and brilliant artist – Dragonfly Collector (Clem Castro of Orange & Lemons).

Would love for you to spread the news to any of your Japanese based friends. More news to come in the coming weeks. Can’t think of a better way to kick off a brand new year.

Last full band show for 2019 and having our first run at another of Sydney’s great little bars – Butchers Brew Bar in Dulwich Hill, on Saturday, 7th December.

Extra excited at it’s a co-headline with my old chum/all round legend – Sam Shinazzi. Opening the night will be a fantastic local troubadour, Chris Carrapetta. Will be a fine way to wrap up the year.

My brand new album ‘Sometimes I Just Don’t Know’ is now officially released and I couldn’t be happier! It is available on Vinyl, CD, Digital and on all the major streaming networks.

Apple Music
Rock Indiana (CD – Europe)

I would love to hear what you think of the record and would equally love for you to help spread the word about the album by sharing it to all the socials and posting up pics of your Vinyl or CD copies.

A quick thank you to this lot who were a massive part of the making of this record: Russell Crawford, Brian Crouch, Dave Hatt, Dave Keys, Josh Schuberth, Peta Caswell, Chris Familton, Clem Castro/Lilystars Records, Pablo Carrero/Rock Indiana & Michael Carpenter. None of this would be possible without these exceptional friends of mine.

Finally a thank you to YOU for buying, listening and sharing this new record. I’ve been humbled by the great reception I have received so far from you folks. I’m awfully proud of it and hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did recording it.

See you at a show!

Reviews for ‘Sometimes I Just Don’t Know’ & ‘I’m not ready for this’:

“… the result is the best work he’s ever done: concentrated in its writing, playing, sound and intent, and not just satisfying, but lasting.” – Bernard Zuel

“He has a knack for making incredible power pop – classic pop songs” – Jeff Jenkins

“A beautifully sentimental and polished outing with its engrossing melodic wanderings and subtle power-pop soarings à la Elvis Costello and The Jayhawks” – Tiana Speter (The Soundcheck)

Record launch shows/tour for ‘Sometimes I just don’t know’ officially begins on Saturday, Sep 28 at the Union Hotel Newtown (w/Hoolahan & Sal & The Mandas) and on Sunday, Sep 29 at Frank’s Wild Years Thirroul (w/Peta Caswell & Family Fold).

These are big shows for us and would love to see you there. So time to clear that weekend and lock in your babysitters friends.

See you at the shows!

This has been a crazy start to the life of ‘I’m not ready for this’. It’s already received over 2k streams on Spotify and have gained over 1.5k views on both YouTube & Facebook over the past 2 weeks. That’s big figures for me. The biggest surprise was the single reaching a high of #13 on the iTunes Top 200 Australia Singer-Songwriter chart! This is the first time in the 20+ years I have been releasing music that I have ever charted. Grateful and stunned is an understatement.

‘I’m not ready for this’ has also been receiving radio play and features on a few righteous music blogs. Thanks to all those listed here. Here’s the rundown:

ABC Radio
Plastico Elastico
Local Vocal Radio
